A lovely pampering recipe.
Nice and easy, and lots of fun.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Sodium Bicarbonate (leaves your skin soft)
• 1/2 cup Epsom Salt (increases your magnesium levels)
• 1/2 cup Citric Acid (makes the bombs fizz)
• 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (soothes and moisturises)
• 3 teaspoons Water
• (optional) 4-5 drops of Essential Oil (lavender is great)
• (optional) few drops of Natural Food Colouring
• (optional) glitter/flower petals etc (more cleaning though!)
• muffin moulds and olive oil
Directions:
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
2. Mix all the wet ingredients in a separate container.
3. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry while stirring. It might start to fizz, so stir fast. Once fully mixed it will feel like damp sand.
4. Rub a few drops of olive oil around each individual muffin mould (this lets the bombs come out easier).
5. Add the bath bomb mixture to the muffin pan and press in firmly. The mixture will expand (especially if humid), so just fill half way.
6. Leave out at room temperature for 3 hours or until dry/hard to touch (may need to leave them out overnight if they are large).
7. Carefully remove the bombs and let the underside air-dry.
8. Store your bath bombs in a jar by the bath ready to use.
9. When the kids (or you!!) are tired and cranky, let them pop a bomb into their bath and have some fizzy fun.
