BLANTs Food Grade Sodium Bicarbonate [Aluminium Free] is produced here in Australia.  It meets Australian Food Grade specifications identifying it as a premium grade Bicarb and is sold in a 11kg 'Food Grade' bucket.

Many folk have a very valid concern re aluminium toxicity in Bicarb products.  Research leads us to reason aluminium toxicity may be a genuine concern in some 'baking powders', but not a concern in 'baking sodas' - another name for Bicarb of Soda.  Baking powders are a combination of an alkali, Bicarb of soda, and an acidifying agent, which in good baking powders is 'cream of tartar' but may be replaced with cheaper acidifying agents as aluminium.  When heated, the alkali and acidifier react which leavens whatever is being baked.

BLANTs Bicarb of Soda is made in accordance with FCCIII regulations ensuring it is a safe product.  When measured in ppm [parts per million] aluminium is not detected.

Just some of the endless list of uses for
Sodium Bicarbonate

Take a refreshing and relaxing bath !
If added to your bath, it will relax aching muscles by neutralizing lactic acid in the muscles, while softening the skin.  For a pampering and revitalizing bath soak, fill your bath tub with warm water and dissolve 2 cups of Sodium Bicarbonate in it - a 10 to 15 minute soak will make you feel regenerated at once !

In the laundry:
You can freshen up your laundry by adding half a cup bi-carb soda to the rinse cycle of your laundry.  This will give your sheets and towels an odour free and fresh feeling.  Baking soda in your washing machine is known to boost the strength of liquid laundry detergents, making your clothes come out cleaner, brighter and fresher.

As a cleaner:
Baking soda can also act as a very mild abrasive cleaner, perfect for removing stains from your sink, fridge, stove top, dishwasher, bench tops, bathroom tiles, tubs or shower recess.  Cleans stained tea and coffee cups.

The #1 deodorizer:
Actually eliminates odours rather than just covering them up.  ~To eliminate odours from smelly shoes sprinkle Bicarb of Soda inside shoes in the evening - shake out in the morning.  ~Sprinkle on your carpet before vacuuming to eliminate food and pet odours.  ~Keep an open box of baking soda in the back of your refrigerator and in your pantry - replace every 3 months or so.  ~Run your dishwasher or washing machine through its cycle with Bicarb of Soda in it instead of soap to give it a good cleaning, and to reduce odours.

Keep your Drains clean and free flowing by putting 4 tablespoons of bicarb of soda in them each week.  Flush the bicarb down with hot water.
